Conserve Metal
India consumes 1.5 million tons of metal to make metal tubes (pipes) per year for the water management system. It must operate a huge water purifying system. It needs technical as well as administrative staff which adds to operating costs. This cost is taken by the consumer which can be saved. Conserve Copper: Now people can build their homes in mountains, in deserts... in any remote place. This will make every house free from Outdoor Electric cables. We can save 2 million tonnes of copper every year.
Solar power
The average Indian family consumes 18 kW of electricity. To generate 18 Kw electricity through solar power it needs only 600 sq ft space. This space is available in these specially designed houses. Indians use 21% of the electricity for domestic purposes. Small scale Industries need 36% electricity. This can be replaced by solar power. This project gives 100% solution to the power supply.
Water harvesting
At every 1000 sq. ft. a house we can collect 1,00,000=00 liter water. i. The average Indian individual consumes 50 to 60 liters of water per day. i.e. 5 members family consumes 1,00,000=00 liters per year. ii. This water can be stored underground in the house. A water tank with (20L x 20W x 10H) ft size creates 4000 cubic feet of space, which can hold 1,00,000=00 liters of water. (If any house has fewer Square feet size, then water tank depth can be increased to maintain cubic feet.)
